People believe that it was him that posted the story. Then others say 'Why would he let out a story about himself? If he were real he wouldn't have done so.' That is where most fail. It is very often that killers leak stories that are taken out of extent to scare those who read it. Jeffrey may have cut a smile into his face and burnt his eyelids off, though that is highly unlikely, it is possible. But, he could have said that just to make sure that no body knew his real appearance.
I am going to share my entire opinion on him, whether he's real or not and others opinion on this whole controversy. Here it goes:
This whole thing reminds me of Slenderman, kind of. In Germany, there has been many reports, sightings and stories of a tall, slender man dressed in a suit with no face since the 1800s. His roots also being traced to Europe and areas around it, therefor making it extremely possible that he is real. Jeffrey is said to have been simply a psychotic teenage boy that one day snapped. His mentality flying out the window. People say that he is fake because, well, wouldn't we have heard about him on the news. It seems logical enough, but if the news reporters were to report about every serial killer that's all that would be on the news. A lot of people are murdered all over the world by unknown killers, most in which never get caught. Where I live, ever since I found the story of Jeff, I have noticed that the death toll in this state has grown rapidly, along with the large amount of amber alerts. A teenager has been caught on camera with striking resemblance of Jeff.
To the fangirls who constantly say that Jeff is 100% real, and if you saw him he wouldn't kill you because he would love you, shut up, please. I, myself, do read fanfictions, but it's reading. I like to read about the creepypasta characters.
I think Jeffrey killed his family simply due to the insanity that had become him. No one chooses whether they are insane or not, it just happens. People tend to say that it is, in fact, a choice to let insanity take you when most of the time, it isn't. Insanity chooses you. You can't stop it.
Why hasn't Jeffery been caught? No one knows for sure how old he is but it is said that he ranges around seventeen to twenty. It has been said that he started at thirteen. Therefor meaning it is quite possible that he has been killing for four to seven years. As often as he must kill, he might no be a mastermind. He could now know how to leave no evidence what-so-ever. He could know how to hide perfectly outside the public's reach.
So, is he real? A figment of our imagination maybe? We may never be sure, that is until we become victims of him or even insanity. It's possible that it has already begun eating away at you. Perhaps, you've already lost your mind. Only time will tell.
